The MFT is one of those items that you don't realize what you've been missing until you use one. This table is rock solid with obvious quality.

I took my time to square the rail and fence up to the dog holes using the bench dog method before making my first cut. I practiced taking everything apart and squaring it back up multiple times and feel very confident in the settings now. I used my Woodpecker 1281 Square to assure the set-up, its spot on every time!

After reading the other reviews I purchased the optional cross member braces. While I feel that they did indeed stiffen up the table, I'm not sure they are needed for 95% of what I do. But I have a tendency to go all out.

If you purchase one of these MFTs, be sure to have a couple of clamps (ratcheting type I highly recommend), clamping elements and a few bench dogs. I'm sure I'll keep finding other uses for this table as I complete more projects. Two thumbs up!! (Posted on 6/3/2017)

Tried others portable table... Not even in the same league. Easy to use, easy to setup, allows for accurate cuts and routing, and fantastic clamping table. Has made a variety of everyday task much easier. (Posted on 6/1/2017)

MFT/3 Table update Review by scott

I've had some time to use the table. My first thought was this is much safer then a table saw. My hand is not even close to the blade. Second it's much quicker to set a project up with this. The ways one can set up a project seems almost endless. (Posted on 6/1/2016)

As with anything Festool cost is always a factor, but you get what you pay for. Table arrived today and although the instructions left a bit to be desired the actual assembly process was straightforward. Have not used it as of yet, what I can tell is this is again a well thought out product. I was surprised by the weight, in the video it doesn't seem that heavy. The height is also comfortable for me. Nice table, but! Review by Philip

I recently purchased the MFT/3 table. I was surprised that the packaging was quite flimsy and the edges were poorly protected by styrofoam and resulted in several nicks and dings in the top and edges. For something this heavy and bulky, the entire table should be encased in styrofoam or other packaging. As for the table, it was not difficult to set up using several of the youtube videos out there. I am disappointed that there are no options for changing the height of the table so that it could be used for multiple purposes (outfeed table for instance) especially for those of us with limited room. I agree with the other commenters regarding the table support cross members which should come standard. (Posted on 4/15/2016)

I purchased this to ease my cabinet building it definitely has been very versatile great build quality the extra support brackets should come with it in my opinion they are a must heavy price for a folding table but it is festool after all and is worth the cost over time and it will last forever good investment (Posted on 3/20/2016)
Pretty Good Table Review by Travis

This table is very well engineered and provides for a nice stable platform to clamp and cut material. My only issue was when I received the table one of the corners were slightly bent on the aluminum track preventing accessories from attaching. I was able to bend it back straight with some vise grips but marred the surface in doing so. Also I think the cross braces should come with the table as well, for that amount of money. Overall its a great table but cost and an accidental material defect cause this to be 4 stars in my case. (Posted on 2/19/2016)
The portable workshop Review by Alex

What makes this bench great is that it is very sturdy AND portable. You can bring it to the work-space with you, and if you bring along your "Dust Extractor" i.e. shop-vac (CT-26) then all your dust/dirt will stay in the room you are working in keeping the rest of the house relatively clean. I ended up buying a Woodpeckers square to calibrate the table and it worked very well. I can truly say if you want exactly 90 degree cuts at the level of C&C precision then this is the way to go. You can do the same thing with a table saw but you need a real shop-saw (2000 lbs) tool to get this kind of accuracy. The little portable contractors saw are not going to do it repeatably. That is really more a result of the Festool system of moving the tool, not the work-piece. There are two major issues though. Price...you know what I mean. And movement of the table under use. This is not an issue when using it with a rail saw (TS-55 or TS-75) but more when you are hand working a project, think hand sanding, hand planing, carving. Again this is the wrong table for that kinda job but if it is the only workplace you have then you might find yourself a bit frustrated with all the table shake. I even went out and bought the extra table braces (cross-members Festool 495502) and they help but this is not an old fashioned workbench. I would buy it again since like most things festool it is a key part of their system. I have the Kapex on the Kapex table and the height of this table matches the height of your work-piece when using the Kapex making this a perfect out-feed table for long moldings on the Kapex. So with two of these on either side of your Kapex on the MFT/Kapex base you essentially have a portable Miter saw station. Can't really beat that. (Posted on 12/9/2015)

The MFT/3 is by far the most critical and useful tool I have seen in years. It is easy to set up and it stays true no matter how hard you try to abuse it. Move it around and never worry whether you are cutting square again. A real time saver. (Posted on 6/20/2015)

This thing is so much more than a table/workbench. Perfect for use with my TS75 & sanders/routers. It adapts to so many different uses and work pieces. The 20mm holes are great, for use with dogs, rails, clamps etc. Perfect for my small garage shop, thing thing is a great space saver. I use this table daily & couldnt be happier. The accessories & rail that come included are a crazy deal & very nice additions. Makes for quick work on squaring up wood for clean, precise cuts! Thanks Festool, another winner. Needs calibration bfore use Review by Jeff

Although I am highly satisfied with the MFT in general (it's built like a tank), I'm pretty disappointed that it needed to be adjusted right from the factory. The preset stops were about 1/4" out and the track wasn't perpendicular to the fence. I found this out after making the initial cut in the table and rail. I set my work piece on the table and saw the cut would be angled. I followed the Festool set up guide to the T, but they mention squaring the table as if that's not a normal thing after set up. So, be prepared to verify square after you put it together. I do enjoy the flexibility it offers with the clamping holes and differing rail heights. It should get plenty of use making wide crosscuts in plywood now that it's dialed in. (Posted on 3/5/2015)
Cabinet Making Review by Just1davis

I have a small shop for building cabinets. For me, one table was just a bit too small. My main purpose was to cut sheet goods for the boxes quickly and accurately. Anything over 4' long, you can't use stops for repitition. I have two of these attached together, both with miter gauges and tracks attached. With both, I can easily cut all my box parts at every length and it makes very quick work of all my cross cutting. Then when it comes to making faceframes and doors, this table is awesome for assembly and sanding. Sanding, sanding, sanding... I'm always sanding. Also, by joining two together, they are much sturdier. When I first got in to Festool, I thought the table was overpriced and I would never get one. Well, now I don't know how I ever functioned with out it. (Posted on 2/25/2015)
Solid portable surface Review by Ryan

I've used this in combination with the TS 55 to make many of the cuts I would typically use a table saw for in breaking down sheets. I like being able to make repetitive cuts and the multiple clamping options available. I still haven't purchased all the festool clamps yet and have been using other branded clamps instead. I think this table is most useful with the festool clamps. Still a pretty solid surface for a portable workbench. (Posted on 2/2/2015)

I cannot believe that I am the first to review the MFT/3.

This is such a useful tool, I don't know where to start. Maybe the best perspective is too look closely at the four edges of the table. The ability to use quick clamps, and all of the other fine Festool devices in untold combinations, makes this the most versatile table ever devised! I have just begun to grasp the potential.

The top of the table, with the holes, miter gauge and track saw guide allows one to accomplish tasks much more precisely, quickly and more importantly SAFELY than ever before. I have built a lot of things. I only wish I would have had this table a long time ago! (Posted on 1/19/2015)

This table has proven to be the perfect size for clamping items to be sanded, routed and for glue/clamp combinations. Very stable and when outfitted with the accessories it has awesome versatility. I use it with my router sled and plunge router for fluting with total confidence that the work will remain secured. The perforations in the table make for many clamping options for any shape.
